I am have recently submitted a PhD thesis in the area of robot ethics. My focus is primarily in the area of how the robot could make a moral decision rather than what humans should or should not do with robots. The title of my dissertation is Moral Code: Programming the Ethical Robot.

Routledge are going to publish a book version of my thesis with the title Ethics and Security Automata in November 2017.

Technically, the core of my topic involves “deontic” logic, the logic of action and graph databases to produce a viable knowledge representation of moral reality.

This blog is a place for me to ruminate, air ideas and collect links that will aid in my writing projects.
